These were put in a haiku competition but had no luck. One of the winners had four lines which makes me wonder about the judges.

This caterpillar 5
Thinks gluttony a virtue. 7
Not in my garden! 5

The wind whispers news
From far exotic places
And sets me yearning.

An impudent wave,
Rushing unseen up the beach,
Wets my trouser legs.

Cold slate-grey river.
Willows, mist caught in their hair.
Sun peeps over world’s edge.

The moon races with me.
Matching my speed as I ride.
Tomorrow we’ll rest.
