Once more Room Six is called down from its vocal heights
To note exam-like silence from beyond the linking door.
Room Seven! Academic saints, young paragons, teacher’ delights
Exemplify the standards to be strived for. It seems sure
That Room Six falls well short of such an eminence.
Brash, loud, and easily distracted from the task in hand
But I must plead a sweet simplicity in their defence
And generosity with hugs, prime currency in any land.
